Brief Description The R&S®SMW200A can be equipped with a dedicated wideband baseband section, which extends the internal RF modulation bandwidth to 2 GHz. With this option, the R&S®SMW200A is the first vector signal generator that offers a fully calibrated wideband solution up to 40 GHz using a single device. An R&S®SMW-B9 wideband baseband generator provides 500 MHz RF bandwidth and 256 Msample ARB memory as standard. The performance can be further enhanced to 2 GHz RF bandwidth and up to 2 Gsample ARB memory via software options. One or two baseband generators can be installed in one unit, which makes it possible to generate two independent wideband signals with any type of modulation up to 20 GHz out of one instrument.
